English for IELTS

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) at Oxford House College is a examination that will test your English ability in academic contexts. This test will also prove that you have the English language skills that are needed to study at a university in the United Kingdom (also available in Australia, Canada and New Zealand).
Oxford House College provides two IELTS courses: IELTS Examination Preparation and Introduction to IELTS.

For you to join the Introduction to IELTS course, you will have to have a level of English at B1 on the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework for modern language (intermediate). The course will last for approximately 12 weeks and you can usually start on any Monday in the academic year.

For you to be able to join the IELTS Examination Preparation course, you must have a level of English at B2 on the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework for modern languages (Upper-Intermediate). This course also last for approximately 12 weeks and you will also be able to start on any Monday in the academic year. All of the students will have to practice in all four parts of the examination; writing, reading, speaking and listening.
